Ok you had everyone over for Thanksgiving dinner and you really don't want to fight the crowds over the weekend shopping. What else is there to do?...... Get that family portrait or kids portrait done!

We make it easy too. Free sitting fee, that's right no sitting fee if you shoot the weekend after Thanksgiving Nov.28-30th.

Talk about making us laugh. The combination of her little face and not even understanding what her shirt said....priceless!

She really was a lovely girl, but from what her mom said, this shot says it all.

We always start out taking more formal portraits, but as the session gets going we let the kids do their own thing. We just follow their lead and boy do they lead. Seems like we really capture the child's essence during this part of the shoot. They tend to forget that we are even there and are just being themselves.

What?!-School is about to start and you haven't gotten your Senior portraits done yet?!

Austin (our gorgeous Sunset senior in above photo) just got hers shot on Friday. She has the most beautiful, perfect skin-this is Susan writing this and I am a makeup artist who works with Kevin at Left Turn Studio. I have a very fun job and always have a great time doing the makeup for senior portraits. At this age your skin and hair are luminous!

Now is the time to book your children's or childs portrait for Christmas. Framed prints make the perfect gift to give-what grandma and grandpa wouldn't want more photos of their grandchildren?! For the person who has "everything" you can give them a gift certificate for a portrait.

This little cutie had no problems having her photo taken-she downright enjoyed it. We also did some pics with her and her brand new baby brother-cute, cute, cute. Now is the time to book your senior portrait at Left Turn Studio

We are giving away a free iPod shuffle, to every person who shoots before the 15th of July!

The studio gets just insane in late July and August, and slots are harder to come by then. It's always better to book with us early before the busy season, as we only shoot 3 people a day. We are NOT like other studio's in town that just give you a half hour to shoot. We spend 2 to 3 hours with each of you. We do this for 2 reasons. One is we hate feeling rushed, and two we like to get to know each and every one of you.

Better TV on KPTV 12 in Portland did a story on how to take a better driver license photo. They came down to Left Turn Studio and did a little interview with me ( the guy with the big fat bald head) and video of me shooting. It was a funny idea, and Brooke was great to work with. She walked me thru the whole thing step by step, and actually made me feel comfortable. I just want to thank them for making such a great story.

Left Turn Studio is proud to feature Sunset High class of 2009 senior - Briana!

Briana is another laid back senior. She came to the studio and we just hung out and shot some cool shots. It was on that one warm weekend we had recently, and got to really do some nice stuff outside. I've know Briana's mom for probably 20 years, yikes has it been that long already. Anyhoo, we spent about 3 hours shooting and you can see the amazing results! Hard to take a bad pic of Briana.

I shot this editorial of the model Cora from Q6 talent for UltraPDX in the cold of March. When I say cold, I mean cold. Poor Cora. I was freezing and I was wearing pants and a coat, she was in sheer dresses and bathing suits. She shot bathing suits in the cold and didn't complain the whole day. Gotta love a model like her.

I shot this beauty story months ago, and just loved the way it turned out. The model Courtney was amazing and my make up artist Meghan Stohl-Kaufman outdid herself as usual. I absolutely love shooting beauty stories. It's all about the model, make up and lighting. On top of that, they are just plain fun to shoot.

If you get the chance, pick up the latest issue of Portland Monthly's Bride and Groom. The magazine is one of the best that the northwest has to offer.

What a wonderful wedding. Simple, elegant, but very "them".

Kandace and Ray are two of the most loving and genuinely nice people I have met in a very long time. Not only was I honored to photograph their wedding, but equally honored to have them design my website. These two just have a great spirit about them, you just feel good when they are around. Kandace with her slightly shy demeanor, and Ray with that little twinkle in his eyes.
